A study by @oceanna.bsky.social et al. reveals a dynamic equilibrium: symbiotic communities in gutless oligochaetes remain highly stable on a micro-evolutionary scale, but change rapidly over short macro-evolutionary timescales as host species diverge. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
