Voting is the least effective form of civic engagement. Getting active in local politics at this level is the most effective.
Show PostThe most important thing is that our Dáil starts to look more like our general population, and the first step on that journey is electing more women.
Show PostYou don't need to be elected to make a difference. You can be active in a branch, or within a party's internal structures. Point is, your influence is stronger than you think and the country needs it. I'm lucky enough to be in a party (and a branch), run by amazing women. It makes a difference
Show PostI have 2 points here. 1. It didn't take long for one person to have a strong impact on national politics. 2. That room was full of women who are natural leaders. So is the Irish side of BlueSky. Our Dáil needs more mná. If you've ever considered getting involved - please - fucking go for it.
Show PostSold as foldable, but it's really just a flat-pack (makes it easier to ship from China no doubt) so yes like an Ikea flat-pack wardrobe it's possible to undo all the nuts and store it flat but that's not happening obviously. The un-nutted-up display model in Woodies put me off as it looked unsteady.
