al genuinely looks incredibly good for 1999. in recent years i've kind of preferred how toy story 2 looks way more than toy story 3 and on? maybe it's just cause i like stronger palettes, but the shading and materials also feel way more "solid" to me, something heavily missing in modern CG

fuck disney and pixar leadership for crunching their staff to get it done. but like. it was their third film. 3D is still 90's jank. everything about it is better than toy story 1. it still looks absolutely gorgeous today. AND it almost got deleted!!!
