Yes. My wording was terrible in that post. Somehow, this makes it worse, I think. I couldn't possibly afford to dip into my nearly quarter of a trillion dollar (I said billion previously, didn't I) wealth fund to pay a 5% wealth tax.

Within which system? Ranked choice/ballot is just a mechanism used by majoritarian and proportional systems. IRV/AV (Trudeau’s choice) is majoritarian, like FPTP. It will not resolve the tensions we are experiencing. STV, however, is proportional. RUP employs STV within it as well.
