Many know Mass Effect is my FAVORITE series, and I am incredibly sad to think we probably won't get more. But I also didn't want to see it become a shell of itself because higher ups care more about money and appeasing the intolerant. So in a way, I'm glad we can remember it for how it is.

It also opened up a whole new world of videogames to me. Before then I never played a lot of games, mostly just farming sims, pokemon, and animal crossing. Games have now become one of my favorite forms of storytelling.

Dragon Age 2 was my first Bioware game and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by it. The fact that what I did in the game could change the world and people around me? Having options to romance someone regardless of gender during the time I was just accepting my queerness? It was a core life event for me.

Bioware was truly a pioneer in the industry. Choose your own adventure with emotional outcomes. Connecting storylines that make every game feel bigger than the last. Explicitly queer relationships and identities in games! I would have loved to see what it could've been without EA holding it back.
