there's a reason we find people "not guilty" rather than "innocent"! you are entitled to have a different standard of evidence than courts do!

I don't think the post here is accurate. National Review found records of the stepfather being charged (indicted, I think) and he wasn't tried because he fled the state. There's news articles about it, too.

I get your point but there was a grand jury investigation. It was reported on at the time. He fled town with her mother.
