I generally consider a comedy book a success if you get one verbal laugh out of a reader. For Sawyer 2, in the first 2 chapters I got half a dozen out of my 12 year old, plus a variety of snorts, chortles, and amused murmurs. Manuscript gets finalized in a few days, so wish me luck with the other 38
