the reason travel nursing even exists to cover for the alleged shortages is bc hospital administrators refuse to pay nurses what they are worth or give them labor conditions that are even close to safe or reasonable. 1:12 is not a reasonable nurse/patient ratio and yet it is not uncommon now.
