Also, the difference in cost between quick build and permanent is enormous, so if you want *more* infrastructure for a fixed budget, it's gotta be mostly quick-build.

The #1 thing politicians & professionals talk about to me, that isn’t widely appreciated by advocates: The nicest permanent bike lane designs can usually only be done when the road is being ripped up for work anyway. Outside of that schedule, temporary/quick-build designs are useful and important.
