Wait, how sick would a game jam specifically for DVD games be?

Between toy leakers suggesting next year's line is subtitled "Megatron Rising", an ad suggesting there's some big mysterious followup to the TFTM re-release next year, and some of the stuff the director has said, I'm confident that this was written as the *start* of a story, not a complete work.
Show PostMore specifically, I've seen a lot of people being like "Megatron getting the Matrix at the end confuses the themes", but I'm pretty confident that the intent of the short is that Optimus was *wrong* to walk away, and Megatron getting the Matrix is there to affirm that!
Show PostLike, it was clearly written for *distribution* alongside a TFTM re-release, sure, given the way it starts, but as a piece of storytelling it's plainly out to do its own thing and start its own balls rolling, rather than build on or exist in conversation with the themes of TFTM specifically.
