Super cool to see this, though not surprising for folks at the intersection of social & biological science. I feel like I've been banging the drum for years about how many associations we consider true or "biological" (like brain-IQ) can be picking up confounding or moderation by social factors.

Socioeconomic status/environment explains more variation in childhood brain organization than IQ. 4.5 million children live in poverty in the UK (UK Gov's own data) >30% - it is an absolute disgrace! This should the the top priority of every govt minister & policy maker, not more money for bombs.
