And we should never, ever, ever find ourselves in a position where we're madder at the person who points out a demonstrable fault in something we like than we are about the fault itself. But that's a conversation the fandom hasn't been ready to have for its entire lifetime, and may never be.

I think FA and Peacewolf's Twitch teach the same lesson: that you can do any ol' horrible thing, and the natural churn of the fandom as older people leave it and young folks join it will eventually cycle out everyone who Remembers, until the prevailing Correct Answer is to support and love them.
