Show PostThis dog, with clear similarities to images of others recently presented here, is a product of a Scottish pottery. It too could be described as "Staffordshire style". Made by J. & M.P. Bell & Co.Ltd. The mark indicates it is from the late 19th or early 20th centuries. #antique #pottery #glasgow
Show PostThis is a recent image of a rare antique, Bo'ness pottery earthenware parrot alongside the illustration of that figure as it first appeared in the book "Scottish Pottery" by J.Arnold Fleming, published in 1923. The base of Bo'ness-made parrots is distinctive and helps greatly with identification.
