Right? The stock sites definitely need to do better with curating the content they're allowing people to sell. I'm very picky with what stock I use, I haven't paid for something outside of a direct creator for a while. Pexels and Unsplash still seem to be pretty good but they don't have everything.

If buying genAI images was actually desirable, they wouldn't try to hide them among legit images. There could probably be a decent case for fraud—it'll take the kind of lawsuit most don't have money for. Considering some places, like Amazon, ask for disclosure, they're anticipating regulations.
