And loved her the whole time until she passed. I’ve no regrets of being her caregiver but it will forever break my heart how my family didn’t see my life and growth as anything of value. They got to live their lives as I stayed at home but now, they live with regret. For not caring for our grandma.

Instead of encouraging me to continue being better, they believed that I should be the only grandchild to be our grandmother’s caregiver full time, not compensate me for it and let me fall behind in my career. And it almost worked but the thing is? I’m so glad and honored that I still cared for her
