Where your personal line is for what is humane or not is different then mine and that's okay. But I think that we can agree that a) the way the mass-produced meat industry currently functions is animal cruelty and b) that any animal under human care deserves a life of dignity regardless of its use.
Show Postnow SQUID!! good squid is easily the equal of Pulpo in terms of flavor vs. fussiness, they're the carnivorous rats of the sea, and every squid a human eats means something in the ocean had a good day it otherwise would not have. eat squids. they're like octopodes who won't send you to hell.
Show PostWhat about snails, cousins to octopi in the mollusk family? I don't eat them, but if you do, here is my cooking advice, and also with questionable "greens", like that shredded lettuce from Mexico, Taco Bell in the MidWest was using. Our California lettuce was, and remains, fine.
Show PostYou shouldn't eat pigs and cows either I'm just saying that they both only fit the dreams and emotions part of the equation.
Show PostOctopus is the easiest thing to cut out of your diet on moral grounds because it’s basically never around, probably has dreams and emotions and tastes like a tire.
