Spent a little time exploring the new BRUTAL framework because I was curious about it. Only 1,161 lines of code to create a spinning quad of one of my cats. Pretty neat. At least I've got a good handle on how Vulkan works now. #gamedev

Show PostI spent all of yesterday methodically implementing a Vulkan renderer from first principles with the new BRUTAL framework to render a triangle, just to try it out. I woke up today to see someone posted a whole-ass vibe-coded game prototype on it. Maybe there is no place for people like me anymore.
