The IRI is a 28-point questionnaire where you rate statements based on how well you think they describe you. The idea is you get a score that somewhat indicates how empathetic you are. Establishing inter-test reliability between the EQ & the IRI would suggest both are measuring similar traits.
Show PostSo SBC tries to validate the EQ by showing correlations with the RTMITE, both tests he created, the latter not considered to measure what he claims. 3) EQ scores show a weak correlation with the IRI or Interpersonal Relativity Index This would be more convincing, as he didn't create the IRI.
