@kamdh.bsky.socialI spent my early career learning the hard way that some of the most time-consuming pieces of many grant applications are the brain-dead box filling exercises. I honestly can't imagine not doing those pieces with AI at this point...
Show PostQuantum big data for data science in the age of SI. Now with extra blockchains.
Show PostA difference is like a difference between a theorem about single rational number (1/2 for period doubling) and a theorem about Q, the set of all rationals. A Riemann Hypothesis, or a theorem about its tougher renormalization theory sister lurking in there. Too hard for me. Killed me.
Show PostBut, by 1990 physicists have lost interest in dynamical renormalization, and my mathematics colleagues either did not "get it", or if they did, they stuck somebody else's names to it, as they do. Withou telling us. So, as far as I know, us three are the only ones who know that there is such a thing.
Show PostGunaratne, Vinson and I did develop a beautiful renormalization theory that established the universality of the dimension of the totality of critical mode lockings, "On the mode-locking universality for critical circle maps”, Nonlinearity 3, 873–885 (1990). cns.gatech.edu/~predrag//pa...
