She wasn't someone like Bugsy who'd been a trainer most of their life, she'd been a trainer for about 4 months before getting the gym, and THEN was undefeated until me n' Silver came along. She got into pokemon because her friends did, and she proceeded to become one of the scariest gym leaders.
