The Triassic #pterosaur relative Scleromochlus taylori is an animal I've drawn several times over the last decade, making it a yardstick for where my #paleoart was vs. where it is today. The images here are from 2025 (finished this morning), 2015 and 2014, respectively. #fossil #sciart #paleontology

I was very much looking forward to this #paleostream! The tranquil of the Devonian Rhynie Chert fascinated me for a while. This geothermal wetland preserves some of the specimens of early landplants and is witness to the conquest of land by animals.

And here now the result of the Candeleros formation stream! What a weird place. The part of the formation we depict here is wasn't quite as arid as some of the lower parts of the formation and yet it was dry enough that it makes me wonder... how all the sauropods? #paleostream

The horror is over, Green River, specifically the Fossil Butte member is done! The Dawn over Eocene fossil lake reveals WAY too many organisms. #paleoart #sciart #paleostream

Especially the mammals, some of them larger than expected, are preserved from complete skulls and show a surprising diversity. Central to the composition here is Taeniolabis, the largest known multituberculate. I chose to show the scene here by night for several reasons.
