What's worse is how most *doctors* aren't aware of the biological implications of transitioning. For every test or assessment I get I have to read up ahead of time on if it differs between men and women and/or if it's related to the AA I'm on and be prepared to educate professionals about that.

the trans people in sports debate is actually very exemplary here because on one side you have all the arguments and on the other side you have cis people who feel like men must be superior because god created them that way

suppressing androgens also means that trans women are at a reduced risk for eg prostate cancer, and trans men are at a reduced risk for breast cancer on hormones and after mastec. however, both should still be looked at! eg mastec doesn’t remove all breast tissue (and cis men also get breast cancer)
