Not a long station history, but high 30.0°C at the #Wreckhouse station today marks only the second occurrence of a 30+°C maximum since records began there in 2000. Last time was Aug 10, 2001 (30.8°C). Makes for a new July record (beating 29.4°C on July 31, 2019). #nlwx

No one asked, but my opinion on the Texas catastrophe is that you can issue all the right products in time but it remains very very difficult to get people to take water as seriously as tornadoes. Even more true at 4 am. Catastrophic when you’re dealing with a debris flow that’s like a tsunami.
