I did my PhD on the RET proto-oncogene & the rare cancer syndrome Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia. I learnt the value of studying rare cancers & syndromes & how we can extrapolate knowledge to cancer more broadly. I learnt the value of multi-national collaborations.
