This means the best fix I've found is getting up and placing it far enough away from me that I have to *get up again* to look something up. It feels too much like a truly justifiable reason for using it. But we don't need to know EVERYTHING right NOW. If it's important I can write it down
Show PostThis also contributes to fractured focus. It's that grabbing a thing and putting it down again action that becomes habitual whenever I'm wondering about something. You're literally breaking your train of thought and heading off god knows where.
Show PostBeen working on reducing time spent on my phone. Having long ago banished social apps (I only come here via browser), decided to block Amazon. Also realized a lot of what I use my phone for aside from reading is looking up whatever thing I'm wondering about WHILE reading or watching something.
