nothing lasts forever, but it's tragic to me that such an influential studio, who gave me and others so many stories and characters to love so deeply, ended up petering out and weakly struggling along until the plug was finally pulled. I hope people remember the highs more than the lows

so it was super obvious that bioware was on borrowed time for... years really (EA/the modern gaming landscape throttled the life out of them a long, long time ago) but seeing that they're finally being shuttered today made me really sad

without bioware I think I genuinely wouldn't be where I am now (possibly not even here at all). I'm so grateful I got to experience some of their best, most passionate work-- and even in their newer games I found some genuine enjoyment, even if it wasn't the same as before. I'm sad it came to this.
