Severe storms rolled through north GA earlier.....the sun is back the rest of the week with 60s through Tue. But the future is much colder. The 00Z Euro = #PolarVortex in 10 days. But the Euro Ensemble Mean & GFS aren't nearly that cold. Stay tuned to FOX Weather for updates.

The lower stratospheric #PolarVortex looks to elongate, or "stretch", a bit over time, likely because of an early January stratospheric reflection event. Such a change often means cold anomalies for eastern North America. There is also a favorable Phase 7/8/1 MJO signal for the cold anomalies. #S2S
