HPV causes nearly all cervical cancer + also causes throat, anal, vulvar, vaginal & penile cancers. HPV vaccines cut risk by 90%+ and are given at 11–12 y/o. Boys need it too — HPV throat cancer hits men hardest. Cancer prevention exists. Use it. 💉#cancer #HPV #BlueSky #MedSky #OncSky #PedsSky

Some good news! 5 yr survival rates for some hard to treat cancers have increased. Liver cancer, with a 7% relative survival rate in the 1990s rose to 22% Lung cancer- 15% to 28% Myeloma- 32% to 62% This is in part due to early detection & better treatment. 🧪 www.cancer.org/research/acs...
