The American Arachnological Society (www.americanarachnology.org/home/) held a bioblitz at Reller Priaire in Nebraska and I found Mysmena incredula, a litter weaver in the family Mysmenidae. Not only is this species new to NE, it's never been found anywhere near it! We know so little! #arachtober

Just thinking about the Amyciaea crab spider. I don't generally think of spiders as evil, but this thing is an empathy predator. It lurks alongside weaver ant colonies, pretending to be an injured ant, and when gullible ants go to help out what they think is their sister, they get eaten.

Not really. I will try to get to that someday. I am using a StackShot focus stacking rail, with a Mitutoyo 10X for most shots (otherwise the Laowa 2.5-5X).
