Last week on the way home from speaking engagements up country, I stopped into Bernard Carey in Clare, who grows trees from native Irish seed. Like a kid let loose in a sweet shop, this was the car all the way back to Beara, fully loaded with aspen, pine, arbutus and yew. They all belong here!

Cllr McSweeney heavilyy criticises the proposed closure of the Crescent for Christmas festivities, saying "I stand with the traders". THat'd presumably be the four men and a dog self-declared representative group for Limerick city traders that won't issue a membership list.

Cllr McSweeney adds his voice to the ctiticism of comments being turned off on the slopvideo (this has been raised several times), saying "I don't think this would happen in... Russia". TO be fair, it would happen in Russia. It's kind of their thing.
