Great to be out campaigning in Hillside ward this evening with colleagues from Merton Lib Dems - a beautiful evening to talk to people about our challenge to Labour for Merton council @mertonlibdems.bsky.social

Tomorrow, Wimbledon Police Station will close to the public. This is a real & worrying loss for our community. I've just handed in a petition signed by nearly 4000 residents, asking the Mayor & Labour Council to think again.
Show PostThe Mayor & the Met had promised there would be at least one 24hr police counter in every borough. With Merton now losing public access to both its police stations, I spoke to BBC London about the impact on vulnerable residents.

South Wimbledon station needs step-free access! Today I presented the @mertonlibdems.bsky.social petition at the London Assembly signed by over 1000 local residents who are fed up waiting. It's time TfL stopped dragging their heels and got on with it!
Show PostIn 2018, I used legal action to stop Sadiq Khan closing Wimbledon Police Station. Now, Lib Dem colleagues on Richmond Council are doing the same to protect their last public-facing police station. It’s disappointing Merton’s Labour Council won’t do the same here. www.paulkohler.uk/news/article...
