Yes, the Minstrel 3 does support high-resolution modes. ZX81 BASIC for the Minstrel 4th does not.

The main problem I find lately is distinguishing the difference between c64 tools and games that are ai assisted because a lot of the time its not even mentioned, and it should be. As for original human coded games, there is no reason to stop, if anything it should be encouraged.
