The irreconcilable misunderstanding about AI is that for some of us is the way to remove suffering, inequality, limits from the human race. For others, a tool: and, right now, the capabilities are at tool level, giving the illusion that the tool is the point.

Repulsed by the idea that we should sit idly by while frontier labs determine the trajectory of the AI transition. They don’t know how to make systems “safe” or “aligned“ nor do any such notions make sense without democratic input. There’s so much research to do here.

Our king died this morning. A good man. A man of the people. He brought people together during hard, celebrated with people during good times. He was called Norway’s grandfather in his later years, and it fitted him perfectly. I just wanted to get that out there. May he rest in peace.
