@brugueslab.bsky.social🎉 The Perutz is delighted to announce that Alba Diz-Muñoz will join the institute as a new group leader in 2027! Currently at @embl.org Heidelberg, Alba investigates how mechanical forces at the cell surface shape cell division, migration and differentiation ➡️ tinyurl.com/6mvhj8n5
Show PostThis story in @natcellbio.nature.com by the amazing @mathilda95.bsky.social is the final flourish in a series of papers over the last year during which we reported a solution to the lipid imaging problem in biology. Stay tuned for the next chapters!

Show PostWe’re happy to see our pykarambola software paper out in @bioinfoadv.bsky.social ! Minkowski tensor computation is now immediately accessible to Python-based research community. Stay tuned for a story on how we leverage this for 3D bioimage analysis 🔬
Show PostHow is proliferation modulated in regeneration for tissues to reach their right size? We found that, in zebrafish scales, proliferation is shut down by a moving front of osteoblast maturation. The front's dynamics scale with tissue size, ensuring proper osteoblast amplification. tinyurl.com/5e45twx3
