Excellent column by @ericsaul.bsky.social. My only nitpick is the counterpoint between Berkeley as some sort of desirable goal and Bethesda as too expensive. Homes in Berkeley today are substantially more expensive than in Bethesda.

Today's Juxtaposition-of-the-Day (ft @travis-robert.bsky.social, @mocomikee.bsky.social, Mamdani, & @ericsaul.bsky.social) is a bit tall, but worth it. "the most radical thing we could do [is]…let someone build an apartment" and make it possible to live there without being required to use a car.
