Nothing wrong with wanting to promote or support stable family relationships. But using marriage as sole indicator of stability is problematic. People with stable relationships get married more & getting wed when your relationship isn't stable won't magically change it. Just support families!

Show PostIt's not true lots of new housing goes to migrants, but that narrative is relentlessly promoted. 80-85% of social homes go to UK born Brits. The 15-20% of foreign born social tenants are people here many years who have often naturalised. "foreign born" is misleading as includes Brits born abroad!
