The Court is scheduled to deliver its ruling on 11 February 2027 on whether the Ombudsman Kenya (CAJ) should be joined in the appeal. Safaricom has opposed the application. In a further development, @mediadefence.bsky.social , sought leave to participate in the proceedings as Amicus Curiae.

#Uzbekistan: A draft law against publishing insults online is threatening the country's press freedom due to a provision punishing "other actions that undermine the public order," an extremely vaguely-worded category that could lead to media censorship. RSF calls for this provision to be withdrawn.
