Typically, in December the mountains are coldest but today its mid 70s with fog cooled 40s inland. That flip-flop is known as a temperature inversion (warm/sinking air above) which acts like a lid to trap smoke/particulates which give a boost to inland formation. (1/2) 12/9/2025 #CAwx
