I think you both should start ignoring one another (before Left continues to eat itself) but in defense of that other user, my discovery feed is also full of users I don't know, especially if I've ever commented on them. And sometimes I see the same people in comment chains. But I'm out.

Hi. Because they were hoping for one of three outcomes: A) moderate Rs flinch first and call for amending the budget B) House control ends the. filibuster and uses up their ace for a later fight. C) they can show their party they attempted what was in their power and at least delay further harm.

I'm not a politician, so I'm not saying if that was worth it. But I know trying literally anything is at least something at this point. Regarding point a, it is easily "argued" that briefly starving out a few tens of thousands was preferable to pushing millions into illness or medial poverty.
