Palli has indeed been saying this for years 🤣😇 It would be a simple matter for the ARC to analyse the data they have, or release it (anonymised) for others to analyse, to support (or not) the decision to have a partial lottery. Many have pointed this out to them, for years, but they have't done it.

I don't believe the current DP peer review system is capable of discriminating at the top end. The college just ends up with a pool of applications with mostly straight As and college members pick winners. A lottery seems less biased than who the college members like on the day.
