It is very common yes. We see all the mistakes we have made, all the things we feel we could have done better, while others see something better than we see ourselves.

I love seeing passionate artwork of any skill level. It doesn’t have to be technically complex for me to love the hell out of it. I would never discourage or look down on another artist. I guess my problem is, for whatever reason, I’m unable to extend that same mercy to myself.
