Anyone not into moths would be forgiven for thinking this wasn't even a moth. The rather smart Stathmopoda pedella (Alder Signaller)and it's peculiar habit of elevating it's middle legs. Came to light in Driffield, East Yorkshire. VC61 @bcyorkshire.bsky.social #teammoth

Silky Wave (Idaea dilutaria) was flying in good numbers at a Bristol site last weekend. First time I’ve seen this Nationally Rare moth of limestone grassland. #teammoth

This beautiful moth greeted me as I opened the trap this morning, a Lilac Beauty NFY. Unlike most of the moths lately it didn’t fly off and let me photograph it which was a bonus! It is such a lovely looking moth #teammoth
