I don't publicly mourn celebrity passings. Feels too much like making it about me. That said, Parton's passing represents the loss of our single most important living public library advocate. The library in my medium-sized town is around 4,000x better because of her Imagination Library initiative.

I don’t cook. My husband does all the cooking (and he’s very good at it). He was really tired today, so I cooked. Normally my stuff ends up being underseasoned, but today I really nailed it. Small thing, but it made me really happy.
