In addition, I am fine with taxes, but the US tax system isn't worth the money. What I mean is that if I was still in the US, my tax burden isn't returning a good value for money. Here in NL, my taxes are higher, but I am getting more value. Roads, public transit, medical care, etc.

I don't have a problem with property taxes. My problem is that they are too high, on top of income taxes, on top of sales taxes, on top of gas taxes, on top of utility taxes, on top of tariffs, on top of corporate greed, on top of billionaires and companies not paying any taxes at all

Um. For preservation of my own sanity, I’m going to state this as clearly as possible. One can rebuke and repudiate a government of a nation and simultaneously understand that not every citizen of that nation is supportive of their government. A populace is not a monolith.
