Film 113 of 2025: Return of the Living Dead (1985) If the Halloween candy is already in the stores, we can start our Halloween viewing schedule, right? We kicked things off this year with Return of the Living Dead. Pitch perfect combination of zombies, black humor, slapstick, and social satire.

"Runaway" by Del Shanon might be _the_ linchpin song of WWII sub-genre music. The dour lyrics, klaxon inspiration, and technology predicted goth, emo, and synth-pop - all in 1961. So ahead of it's time, it wouldn't find anything approaching a new torch-bearer until Brian Eno went solo in 1974.
