A pure comp paper is fine! Nothing wrong with that. But you only say "hey, I am making some predictions; someone else want to see if im right?" Not: "we no longer need a field of experimentation! I scienced with MY MIND!!!" Or, in this case, they didn't science with their minds.

In this case, it looks like Science just...took their word for it? Like...thats not how it works for any of us. This is, to put it mildly, complete bullshit. Like the stuff I reject in low IF journals as a reviewer as there is insufficient evidence.
