I think you're correct here, but also it's true that the value of "millionaire" has eroded a lot with inflation! It's now less "independently wealthy" and more "mid-career tech worker or moderately prosperous dentist".

This is also one of the reasons I'm afraid to get laid off for an extended period of time. Blink and it feels like you're obsolete out here. Tho frankly the best thing rn is probably to just NOT work for 10 years and come back when they've figured out what tf is going to happen w/all this.
