Want to hear a fun story that I'm really hoping will have a good ending? My dog was suddenly lethargic, wheezing, clearly in pain, bloated. Took her for emergency care, X-rays revealed some arthritis but more significantly a huge mass in her gut. Vet suspected aggressive tumor, devastating. 1/8

The mood was absolutely dismal, I'm sobbing obviously, the vet said we don't need to be considering euthanasia "just yet." But also acknowledged she's not a radiology expert and we should seek a second opinion from one, who would likely order an ultrasound, biopsy. Just got the results back. 2/8

To set the scene: I've been assuming my dog's got a grapefruit size tumor in her gut that could bleed out and kill her at any moment (the "silent killer" dog cancer) She seems to be normal now with pain meds but that could turn at any moment. I've cried more since Monday than I have in years. 3/8
