I am constantly amazed that people don't take other experiences in their life into account. Flu vaccines are annual (for those that bother), and there's never been a vaccine for colds. And yet somehow many people think all vaccines are like MMR or polio vaccines, once a life is enough. 🤨😒

Also imp't to remind ppl that the primary benefit of the covid vaccines is lowering risk of death or hospitalization during the acute phase. Even while antibodies are highest after vaccination, there is nowhere near full protection against infection.

The reason it's so important to explain that Covid vaccines can both reduce transmission & infection AND that this protection wanes over a few months is that if folks get long Covid despite knowing this, they may blame the vaccine
