Another comic artist shows up in volume 1, Zofu. He's drawing comics in Japanese, and sometimes they're shown full-page for us to read. Tjose are translated and lettered in a style for Zofu. When shown as items the characters in the story see, we left them in Japanese.

Signage in other languages is left like that, with notes. You see what the characters see. But things meant for the reader are lettered in English, like sound effects and the pages of the comics within the comic shown for reader context.

Now That's What I Call Localization But in all seriousness, Billy Bat is a multilingual comic. It's fun seeing English, Japanese, and other languages come into play.

Brendon and I lettered the dialogue in Kevin's comic pages using a font based on Ben Oda's lettering. Then we traced each letter by had to give it a hand-lettered feel. American comics didn't widely adopt fonts until the 90s and 2000s. His name below the logo was also redone to match Oda's lettering
